my posts about the wedding are not going to be in order as things happened but just more mixed up sort of as I go thing ... if that makes any sense?!
Therefore today I would like to share some photos I took of the flowers that were some of my daughters centrepieces after they came home from the wedding. For almost two weeks they stood in my kitchen window and every time I did my dishes or looked out of the window I was surrounded by their beauty.
Even as the last roses slowly faded ...
... their beauty is still something that captures me.
I wanted to do something little to remember my daughters special day so I am pressing some of the flowers for a future creation for her and her husband. But that wasn't enough for me. I wanted to do something else little and I am sure you all remember my favourite quote, because I must have told you it many times already over the past years.
The quote is ...
' Memories is the power to grow roses in winter.'
I thought a nice way to remember how special my daughters wedding was and how many new memories are going to be made is by designing a new blog button and place it on Todolwen.
I used my favourite photo that I took of one of her roses from the wedding flowers and turned it into this!
Now every time I look at this ...
... I will remember how beautiful she looked and what a lovely day it was.
Thank you for stopping by and visiting me here at Todolwen ~ it is always so nice when you do so.
I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.
Have a peaceful and creative day,
Karen B.
What a joy it must have been to see those flowers on the sill for such a long time. Thanks for sharing them. The blog button is so pretty. I'm sure your pressed flowers creation will be a wonderful keepsake of the day.
ReplyDeleteThe roses are so lovely and who wouldn't love being surrounded by these beauties at the kitchen sink. If the centrepieces are any indication it must have been a gorgeous wedding.
ReplyDeleteAmb la companyia de les roses la feina és molt mes fácil de fer.

How lovely for you to keep the memories of that day alive with those beautiful flowers and I love the view from your kitchen window framed by them. Margie x

I don't think I would have gotten any washing up done at all, with all those beautiful bouquets right in front of me. I'd have stood and stared and sniffed and dreamed.... The photographs are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful photos!

I love the flowers surrounding your kitchen sink. Beautiful roses to make even the most mundane chores into beautiful memories.
