even though it was a little rainy out my daughters and I decided to head out for a walk yesterday and it was such a lovely walk.
This was our first walk without snow on the ground and it wasn't cold outside, just slightly fresh and the air was so clean and smelt a little earthy.
We headed to a park that is just down the road from where we live and took our bag of bread along hoping we would be able to feed some of the ducks that live at the stream in the park.
My younger daughter Caylagh took to her yellow rubber boots due to the mud and her blue duffle coat for the cool air and ...
... didn't realize that she looked a little like Paddington Bear. Unfortunately I couldn't find a picture with him wear his yellow wellies (rubber boots).

We were lucky to find quite a few ducks at the pond ...
... so our bread didn't go to waste.
And there were more feathered creatures...
This one singing it's song from one side of the pond ...
... and this one singing it's song from the other . I think the were both singing to find a mate and both sounded beautifully.
And then we came across this!
A new critter has arrived in our neighbourhood in the form of ...
...a beaver!
We didn't see critter itself yet but there is the evidence of it's presence all over including this tree that was one of at least 10 and I am sure won't be standing for very long anymore.
Every where we walked ...
... there were little signs like this bright green moss, letting us know us that Spring is slowly arriving and even though I love snow, now it is time for everything new to start to grow and the browns and grays of nature to step back into the background once again and beautiful Spring colors to arrive in the form of flowers and other Spring time things.
I hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday too.
Today it's back into my studio when I have the time ~ I am working on more than one thing at the same time again. So ... why don't you stop by soon again and visit me here at Todolwen to see what I have been up to and if you wish to see my beautiful nest that arrived from my dear friend Vicki be sure to drop by tomorrow!
I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.
Have a peaceful and creative day,
Karen B.
As Mr. Rogers always said "It's a loverly day in the neighbourhood."

Nanou de Toulouse in France
It's a black bird with red shoulders, lives near the water. His close relative - just "black bird" sings sooo beautiful!! I have never seen these birds back in Russia or Ukraine.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! I've pinned the birdie pic. Thank you!
