I haven't been very creative these past days even though a little time would have been there, but it seems I am on a low right now and I am hoping it won't last too long.
After it was the fist anniversary of my Mama's passing at the beginning of the new year, my heart was very sad and that's how I came to make my newest 'Heart~Felt'. I had bought a lovely sweater a week or two ago for a different project but I knew that it would become a part of my latest creation.
I had bought a lovely sweater a week or two ago for a different project but I knew that it would become a part of my latest creation. I love the warm pink color of the wool.
I don't think that this creation really needs a lot of words ~ the name says it all I find.
I hope you are well and life is treating you kind my dear friends.
Have a peaceful and creative day,
Karen B.
This heart is beautiful and special ~ the rose color is so pretty. I hope you won't be sad too long ~ your mother would not want you to feel this way. She is probably smiling at the beauty you create every day.

Karen-- such a lovely creation from that beautiful sweater-- what a gorgeous color. I'm sorry for your loss-- and I understand those feelings-- it's just hard. I hope some brighter days are ahead for you. Sending hugs-

Karen, that is such a sweet heart...and you are too!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could send you a big hug...I always get down around my birthmother's birthday (beginning of Jan.), and again during May when I lost her to cancer almost 3 years ago. What helped me the most was to go ahead and think about her, remembering, and then honoring those memories with a special project. I see that you are doing the same thing!
Each memory is precious. I hope your heart continues to heal...
Hugs,
Doni

ReplyDeleteI think the world must seem a different place when your mother is no longer in it - I am so sorry to know that you lost her. Your heart must be a loving reminder of all she meant to you.
Warm thoughts from me to you, Jillayne
I empathize so much with you right now Karen, and will keep you in my prayers. This heart does speak for itself, it's absolutely gorgeous. And I know your mother is right there with you, loving this little creation in her memory.

I lost my mama two years ago and am still at a loss for her words, for her comfort, and for her love. I was happy to see your newest heart. Pink was my mama's signature color. You have done a wonderful piece of work to honor your mother. Thank you for sharing. Lorelei
ReplyDeleteThis heart is so pretty and what a lovely rememberance piece. Beautiful color. So sorry for your loss, I've been there myself. Take care Karen.
ReplyDeleteKaren,
ReplyDeleteHeart hugs to you, sweet girl, what a beautiful creation to remind you of a lovely Mother.....I understand that annual reminder...it is not an easy one for me. I have some lovely things my mother made for me, and I cherish them. I also have the different gifts I made for her through the years that I got back when she passed away almost 4 years ago. I think I will make something no to remind me of the love she had for me and I for her. I miss my Mama, too....
Heartful of comfort offered to you.
Betsy
What a Lovely tribute! I'm sure she's looking down on it with a smile. So sorry for your loss.
