so much has been happening in the past few days now ~ it's crazy here! My basement in coming along fast which is such a good thing but a lot of stress as well with my husband not being here away with work again ... I am trying to ensure everything gets done right. So far it is looking great. We are only having the main work done by our contractor and things like painting and laying the new floor we are going to do ourselves hopefully before Christmas.
I haven't gotten to much time to sit and be creative at all really which makes me a little sad because I find creating so relaxing and comforting after a stressful day. I haven't even had a chance to finish my second and third scarf ready for mailing and on their way to Vicki ~ which I am really not happy about but I am hoping that I will be able to do so very soon.
I only have a few photos of our basement to share with you today but I will have more very soon again as work is progressing very well so far.
And ...
... after moving, I think 14 or 15 times over the past 22 years ... I finally threw some of my army moving boxes away yesterday! The amount of times I have packed and unpacked these makes it a tiny bit sad too since they were such a large part of my life.
These huge wooden MFO boxes have been with me all over the world and now they are 'retiring'. (MFO stands for multinational forces and observers)
What else is happening? ...
... my daughter Ashleigh and future son-in law are thinking of pulling their wedding forward which would mean that they would be getting married in about 11 months already and not in two years. There is a lot going on about sorting everything out with a much faster approaching wedding now ~ but it is exciting too!
As you can see there is so much happening here right now and I will keep you up to date with everything when I can. I do have a few new creations to share with you that I had been working on earlier this year and since Christmas is on it's way I can finally tell you all about them very soon ... so don't go to far away!
I hope you are well and life is treating you kind my dear friends.
Have a peaceful and creative day,
Karen B.

ReplyDeleteThos look like such sturdy boxes, seems a shame to throw them out - do you use craigslist? I bet someone moving would love to recycle them!
ReplyDeleteDear Karen, you're in the whirlwind of life! I can say that this is a giant event for a mother, but like all things I am learning to let go, and remain grateful for the beautiful life story with my first daughter, and which is continuous all naturally.
ReplyDeleteLetting go? in some way. It is an amazing experience and really beautiful to live, this is pure love...
Hugs!!!
