And these are my last church sale findings ...
An old picture frame ...
... with so much detail!
Lots of vintage linen bits and pieces ...
... all embroidered so neatly.
I love vintage linen so much ~ I can't stop buying it!
A delicate vintage silk hankie hand embroidered so beautify.
Little white baby dresses ~ you can never have too many of these.
A vintage cutlery box from England ...
... with the fine gold detail.
And last but not least ...
... lots and lots of sparkles!
And this one is my favourite piece of the day ...
... I think it looks like a snowflake from Heaven!
I am glad that it was the last church sale for this year that I am going to visit. Looking at my studio I really need to slow down a little for sure in the future but I am very happy that I have some lovely treasures to work with in the cold winter months that will be here soon.
And finally ...
... I would just like to tell all of you lovely bloggers out there that might become affected by the hurricane that is heading for the east coast of the US that I hope it won't be too bad. We here in south-western Ontario have been warned that we could possibly also be hit by the effects too with very high winds and heavy rain. I just hope it won't be too intense. I always worry about my big tree when the winds are bad ~ I would hate for it to be lost or to damage a neighbours home.
I just wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
I would love for you to stop by some time again here at Todolwen.
I hope you are well and life is treating you kind my dear friends,
Have a peaceful and creative day,
Karen B.
What lovely treasures you found!! I also have a weakness for linens and love any handwork, such a lost art. I live across from you on lake Ontario and we are all preparing for the massive storm. The weather models show it going right up into Canada also. The lake levels are expected to rise considerably since the Genessee River flows northward and will carry all the rain from the south of here. Be prepared and stay safe....
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...what beautiful treasures sweet friend!!! I love each and every thing! I hope you are doing wonderful sweet friend, hugs and love, Dawn
ReplyDeleteOh Karen
ReplyDeleteI adore all those pieces too - especially the babies dresses and fine linen and lace pieces. We just never come across such beauties here unfortunately, but I found a few lovely pieces at a Brocante when I was in France a couple of months ago!
I will look forward to see what you do with these treasures.
I hope you are all OK with this awful storm, it's on our news all the time here.
Thinking of you all and sending prayers taht you will all be safe.
Shane ♥
Wonderful treasures! Church sales always provide the best things! My favorite is those darling baby dresses! Stay safe...we are feeling the first effects here in New York. Take care, Laura
ReplyDeleteOK Karen, I'm drooling! What beautiful finds!
ReplyDeleteI too pray for the protection of those being effected by Sandy. So many bloggers are going to be effected by this storm.
Stay safe,
Laurie
