do you ever get this?... for weeks and weeks you find nothing at all that appeals to you when you are out and about shopping for treasures to create with and all the sudden almost every time you go anywhere you find something that is just calling out to you 'buy me'!
It seems since the temperature has fallen to a very pleasant level in these past few weeks, my shopping trips have increased and have been successful and now I think I almost have enough treasure to get me through the cold winter months.
After my lace findings these are my newest tarnished findings ...
The lovely vase is going to stay as is for my home but the other pieces are going to be used in a new creation in the future.
I love the tarnished look and especially with the punch out detail on this little stand.
I still have one more treasure lot to share with you. I just need to get the time to sit down and take the photos which I hope will be very soon. I am terribly busy sorting out my basement right now, tidying things away as good as possible and sorting things out for a garage sale I am hoping to have this Saturday ~ last chance for this year and I need to get rid of some stuff that isn't needed anymore. I also am hoping that the contractors are going to start work within the next 2 weeks in the basement and I will share the progress with you as it happens.
I hope you stop by again some time soon!
I hope you are well and life is treating you kind dear friends,
Have a peaceful and creative day,
Karen B.
Adore these pieces - wow! I love tarnished and in fact, I have this strong liquid solution that tarnishes for you...love the stuff!
ReplyDeleteI love these old tarnished silverplate pieces too, I've been picking them up here and there for awhile now. The "plan" was to do something with them, but most of them are on display as is. When the mood strikes I'll make a pincushion or two, but for now, they're part of my decor.
ReplyDeleteLovely new finds. I wonder what you are going to make with that gorgeous sort of filigree piece. I just can't imagine what it could possibly be turned into.
