Hello my dear friends,
at last ... Spring has arrived ... and with it lots and lots of weeds!! I am feeling much better again so I decided to spend Mother's Day in my garden trying to tidy it up at least a little bit and I haven't stopped since and I must say I really enjoying it.
We have a fake riverbed at the bottom of our yard which hides a drainage system. It is being taken over by Dandelions right now and it does look quite nice, but if I don't get them out soon they will be too many to handle.
So many weeds!!! All of them have to be pulled by hand because we have a lot of little creatures like rabbits, squirrels, raccoons and ducks that like to come and visit I would hate for them to get ill from any chemical I would use.
There are a few very pretty little weeds there too like this little purple flower. I think I am not going to pull them out just yet but leave them a bit longer.
I am hoping not to need too much longer with weeding because I have a few new ideas for our garden. I am planning on changing the look of it and I want it to be easier to care for too. We had to have our foundation dug open on one side of the house due to water getting through the wall so it is mud everywhere there and it needs to be finished. I will keep you up to date on this project as it gets done.
Have a peaceful and creative day,
Karen B.
Those are not weeds, but wild violets...very pretty.....
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are feeling better. Oh, and those sweet little wild violets are gorgeous, we have them growing all over the place in our garden/field in France.
