on Saturday I went on an outing to the first church sale of this year with my daughter Caylagh and we found a lot of nice little treasures there. I almost forgot how much fun it is to get up early and go out 'hunting"!
And this is what I found ....
some old bottles and glass items ...
old lace and yarn ...
some beautiful ear rings and two pretty broaches ...
more glass ~ 24 tiny bottles ...
old music sheets and hymn books ...
and old pillowcase with lovely handmade lace and an old doily.
... after the church sale my 10 year old, Caylagh and I decided to go to the local indoor market where the upstairs level has all sorts of goodies to be found. And Caylagh did find a treasure there!!
These are her newest finds...
and this is the best one - a Victorian coin purse!
It is so small and absolutely gorgeous!!
I already have my special little calender on hand adding dates of church sales, flea markets and other events I am planning to take part in. So, there is another little tip you all you treasure hunters out there - have a little calender with you to note down all the dates you need to be out there 'hunting' or write them down in your trusty little companion. This way you won't forget any outing.
Have a peaceful and creative day,
Karen B.
