"Your nest is ready." ... that was the title of the e-mail I received from my dear friend Vicki, from '2 bags full' and I was so excited to read this!
I am sure most of you lovely bloggers have already heard about this wonderful lady that makes the most amazingly beautiful nests from wool, lace, ribbon and other bits and pieces ~ if not ... you MUST visit her blog ~ believe me you will not be disappointed! And not only that, she is such a kind person and is working so hard to help others in many, many ways to her creativeness.
OK ... back to where I was ... I had ordered a nest last year and now it is ready.
It was one of Vicki's designer nests and it is the 'Shabby Chic' nest. Now it is ready to come to my home!
I will give you a tiny sneak peak of what it looks like here ...

This is one of Vicki's photographs of her Shabbic Chic nest that she placed on etsy and there is something special about it too. Sweet Vicki has included some of her Mama's lace in the beautiful nest and the bible in the photographs is her Mama's bible. Vicki told me she thought that her Mama would be pleased about this and I so agree. Actually I am sure Vicki's Mama would be very proud of her daughter and the wonderful person she is ~ kind, sweet, caring and talented.
My dear friend Vicki I think you are amazing!
The next time I will be sharing photos of my new nest is when it arrives here in Canada but until then I will have plenty more to share with you lovely bloggers I hope. So do stop by from time to time and visit me here at Todolwen.
I hope you are well my dear friends and life is treating you kind.
Have a peaceful and creative day,
Karen B.

I have one of Vicki's Autumn nests, and it is absolutely gorgeous! Every time I look at it, I see something new I've missed. You're going to love yours!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, I got one of those emails as well, woohoooooo! I am so excited, isn't that just the most gorgeous nest you have ever seen? Well, apart from all the others she has made in the past, lol. It was well worth the wait, wasn't it?
ReplyDeleteDear Karen,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the sneak peek of the shabby chic nests, which I knew Vicki was working on. I don't think I ever thanked you for introducing me/us to Vicki. I was fortunate to buy one of her fall nests and am on the list for a pink nest next October. Your lovely ring pillows have been inspiring. I love the one Ashleigh choose. Have a great and creative day. Pam
Oh Karen.. I was just as excited to see that a-mail as you were. And mine is on the way too.
ReplyDeleteI think I've gotten every one of Vicki's nests. I'm always thinking.. this will be the last one.. then she starts showing sneak peeks at the new one she's planning.. and there I go adding my name to the list. But they are so beautiful...treasures to hand down in the future.
I too own one of Vicki's nests. I have it on a table by my front door so everyone that comes to visit sees it. I have so many compliments on how pretty it is. I enjoy having it where I can see it all the time, as it always brings a smile to my face and reminds me of a dear friend.

All I can say Karen is you are just one very lucky girl to receive one of these beautiful nests for sweet Vicki. It is so adorable!
